SETTING UP

Power-Up and Notes

With

the

Expansion Interface connected

the TRS-80

Computer

explained in the last section,

you

are ready to

tum

the

components.

Note:

you

are going to connect any peripherals,

while

the

system is

OFF

(see Peripheral Connection). Never change the

connections

the

Expansion Interface

Computer

while

the

Computer

Interface is ON.

Make all connections before

you

plug in the AC line cords.

Tum

the

peripherals

you

are going

use.

Tum

the

Expansion Interface,

pressing

the

power

button

into

the

case until

clicks

into

position. Use

the

rubber

eraser

a pencil,

something similar. (In the

position,

the

button

recessed, so

you

won't

tum

the

unit

off

accidentally.)

Tum

the TRS-80 Computer.

Note:

you

not

have a Mini-Disk system connected,

you

must

hold down

the

BREAK key while

you

tum

the

Computer.

you

do have a Mini-Disk system connected, follow

the

power-up sequence

recommended in

your

Mini-Disk Operation Manual.

With some Line Printers,

you

must have

the

Printer on for TRSDOS

load and operate.

tum

the

system off, reverse

the

power-up sequence.

That

is,

turn

the TRS-80

Computer

off

first, etc.

Caution:

Tum

off

all peripheral equipment (Line Printer, etc.) before

turning

off

the

Expansion Interface.
