Operating the Recorder
Make a Recording
1. Prepare the recording source:
Built-in microphone — Place the recorder within 4 inches
(10cm) of the sound source.
External microphone — Insert a microphone plug into
the MIC jack.
Audio source — Connect an audio source to the AUX-IN
jack (refer to “Make an AUX Recording” on page 9).
2.
If necessary, press MODE to enter voice mode. VOICE appears.
Recorder settings — Refer to “Setting the Recorder“ on
page 6 to make the necessary settings.
VOX recording — Set VOX to ON.
VOX appears. This records only
when there is sound. Refer to “Set
Recording Sensitivity“ on page 6 to set
the VOX sensitivity. The higher the
VOX sensitivity, the lower the sound
level is needed to start recording.
Choosing a folder — Press FILE to choose a folder (F1,
F2, F3, F4) to keep the voice message.
3.
Press REC. When the REC indicator lights, speak into the MIC.
When VOX is on, if there is no sound, recording pauses with
PAUSE ashing. When there is sound, recording resumes.
4. Press STOP to stop recording. The message is saved.
A recorded message is saved as a serial number (01-99)
with the recording mode indicator SP, MP or HP.
To remove the message, press ERASE twice (refer to
Erase Files” on page 10).
If no space is available in the folder, FULL displays.
